The second full weekend of June is set aside for a city-wide celebration in Volga. The weekend brings together the community for a variety of events, including many rummage sales, games for kids, fireworks and a barbecue at the golf course, class reunions, vendors in the park, a 5K run, street dance, water games by the Fire Department, and the annual parade. Like most small town parades there are flag bearers, fire trucks, tractors, business floats, political candidates, horses, old cars, and candy throwing.
