CITY OF VOLGA UTILITY RATES
Effective April 6, 2007

ELECTRIC RATES

(a) Residential Rate:
$10.00 Service Charge
$ .07 All KWH
Availability: Available to any residential customer within the City Limits of Volga for domestic purposes only in a single private residence.

(b) Light Commercial Rate:
Rates: Monthly Service Charge: $10.00
Energy: $ .07/KWH.
Availability: Any non-residential premises within the Volga City Limits where the maximum monthly power requirement is less than 20 Kilowatts
and requires 120/240 Volt single phase.
Service Qualifications: Single Phase 120-240 Volt.
Less than 20 KW metered demand in any of the previous 12 months.

(c) Commercial Rate:
Rates: Monthly Service Charge $12.00
Energy: $ .054/KWH.
Availability: Any premises where the maximum monthly power requirement is 20 Kilowatts or more and less than 50 Kilowatts in any of the previous 12 months or any three phase service as described below.
Service Qualifications:
Single Phase 120/240 Volt.
Three Phase 120/240 Volt.
Three Phase 120/208 Volt.
Greater than 20 KW and less than 50 KW metered demand in any of the previous 12 months.
Power Demand: $4.00/KW (kilowatt) per month based on the highest metered demand per month.
Demand Definition: 15 minute rolling interval of three 5 minute subintervals. Maximum Cost Adjustment: The maximum charge per month shall be $12.00 service charge plus $0.30 per KWH.  An adjustment shall be made on the bill to reflect the same.

(d) Out of City Rate:
$12.00 Service Charge
$ .089 All KWH.
Demand based meters will pay Industrial Rate. Separate meter required for each consumer. Availability: Available to customers outside the city limits of Volga but still within the service territory of the City that is not within the service qualifications of the Commercial or Industrial Rates.
Service Qualifications: Single Phase 120/240 Volt. Residential or farm service less than 20 KW metered demand in any of the previous 12 months.

(e) Industrial Rate:
$15.00 Service Charge.
Demand $8.00 per KW.
Energy $ .038 All KWH.
Demand Definition: 15 minute rolling interval of three 5 minute subintervals.
Availability: any premises where the maximum monthly power requirement is 50 Kilowatts or more in any of the previous 12 months, or where 277 Volts or more are required.
Service Qualifications:
Single Phase 120/240 Volt.
Three Phase 120/240 Volt.
Three Phase 120/208 Volt.
Three Phase 277/480 Volt.
Greater than 50 KW metered demand in any of the previous 12 months.
Maximum Cost Adjustment: The maximum charge per month shall be $15.00 Service Charge plus $0.30 per KWH. An adjustment shall be made on the bill to reflect the same.

(f) Large Industrial
$20.00 Service Charge.
Demand $16.71 Per KWH.
Energy $ .022 Per KWH.
Over 2000 KW-Contract.

GARBAGE RATES

Charges will be the current contract rate per house- hold except for those over 65 years of age and living alone will be charged ½ of the existing contract rate.

 

SEWER RATES

Residential:
Base Charge $4.75
Each 1000 gallons $1.30/1000 gals.
Usage based on water consumption for Dec., Jan., Feb. & March and averaged for remainder of year.

Mobile Homes:
Base Charge $4.75
Usage based on water consumption/family size.

Out-of-City:
Base Charge $4.75
Each 1000 gallons $2.60/1000 gals.
Usage based on water consumption for Dec., Jan., Feb. & March and averaged for remainder of year.

 

WATER RATES

Mobile Home:
Flat monthly rate $13.00/mo.
Residential:
Base Charge $7.00
Each 1000 gallons $ .60
Out-of-City:
Base Charge $7.00
Each 1000 gallons $1.20

 

 

DATE OF PAYMENT AND PENALTIES:
All consumers utilities bills shall be due when re ceived by the customer. All delinquent bills past the 26th day of the month shall be assessed 10 percent of the total utilities bill. If the utilities bill is not paid within 60 days past the billing date, it shall be the duty of the superintendent of the utilities department to disconnect all services at that time. No service shall be reconnected until payments of all monies due the city plus an additional fee of $25.00 is paid.
