2002 Fire Department

The Volga Volunteer Fire Department was organized in 1888 and serves both the City of Volga and its surrounding rural areas. Fire equipment includes two pumper trucks, a water tanker truck–combination grass unit, two pickups equipped for grass fires and medical emergencies, and an equipment van. There is 911 access for all emergencies which includes first responder calls. The city has a state fire code rating of 7.

The Volga Fire and Rescue Department is a volunteer department of 28 members providing fire protection and emergency responder services to residents of Volga and surrounding rural areas.

Women's Auxiliary ~ Hot Mammas

Purpose: To promote and support the Volga Fire Department and our local community.

Fundraisers: Adopt a Family (support a local family during the holiday season)
                  Raffles
                  Fire Safety Week

Meetings: We meet four times a year on the 3rd Sunday of that month. Meeting Months are: February, May, August and November. Meetings begin at 5:00 pm at the fire hall!

Members: A spouse and/or a mother of a Volga fire fighter.
