Valley Schools

The consolidated grades K–12 are comprised of students from Bruce,
Sinai, and Volga. The curriculum of the Sioux Valley Schools is
sequential, integrated, coordinated and comprehensive. The School
facilities are located in Volga and feature a modern structure with
a centralized library, two gymnasiums, and three computer labs with
additional rooms for art and theater.
A large gym in the main structure has a full size court with the
capacity to seat approximately 1,200 people. The gym in the adjacent
building is used for junior high practice, elementary physical education
and theater.

Christian School
Volga Christian School was founded in 1949 and enables students
to receive a Christ centered education by integrating Christian
faith, learning and living. VCS is a school owned and controlled
by Christian parents, committed to educating their children in a
Christian atmosphere with a Bible-based curriculum.
The curriculum includes reading, language arts, math, science,
social studies, art, music, handwriting, physical education and
basic computer. The curriculum is fully accredited by the State
of South Dakota, and taught by state certified instructors. The
school is a member of Christian Schools International.
First
Lutheran Pre-School
First Lutheran Church of Volga offers a non-denominational preschool.
The overall goal is to reach out to children and serve families
in the Volga area by providing a quality Christian education curriculum
consists of life experiences in the areas of spiritual, social,
emotional, cognitive, language, physical development, and self-help.
Classes are available for children ages three, four and five.
